The stakes are high...

My mission to conquer Parkinson's disease started as a personal mission. My buddy Ivan was starting to suffer from worsening disease and he believed I could help him (I did not share his faith initially).

While I did not figure this out in time for him, I learned how to believe in myself as much as Ivan did. And now we are getting close to launching the first clinical trial of dopamine reduction therapy as a treatment for Parkinson's.

Last week, the stakes got higher. It's getting even more personal. My friend sent me a text that she saw our coverage in Parkinson's News Today. She was excited by the announcement about our partnership with a first-rate manufacturer. Her husband is one of my favorite people - and has Parkinson's. Of course they knew what I've been doing for the last several years. But her text made me realize - I am being counted on. And I don't plan to give up easily.
